What is the legal age to purchase and use cannabis?
A: It varies by province. In the provinces that we currently operate in - BC, SK, ON, the legal minimum age to purchase and use cannabis is 19. It is illegal to purchase cannabis for anyone under the age of 19.
What is THC?
A: Tetrahydrocannabinol is one of at least 113 cannabinoids identified in cannabis. THC is the principal psychoactive constituent of cannabis and the cannabinoid most responsible for the euphoric “high”.
What is CBD?
A: Cannabidiol is a phytocannabinoid discovered in 1940. It is one of some 113 identified cannabinoids in Cannabis plants, accounting for up to 40% of the plant's extract. Though both THC and CBD have therapeutic effects, CBD can offer some users similar benefits without the intoxicating effects.
Which cities/locations will Kiaro be coming into?
A: Kiaro opened its first store in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan located at 212 20th Street W. We opened a second location in La Ronge and we serve all Saskatchewan residents with our e-commerce store. What products does Kiaro sell?
A: Kiaro sells a range of products in compliance with both provincial and federal regulations. Kiaro currently sells a variety of dried flower, pre-rolls, edibles, vaporizers, tinctures, capsules and accessories.
How much do products at Kiaro cost?
A: Kiaro strives to price our products in line with our competitors in the local marketplace. Prices are always changing, check out our online menu at the store closest to you to see what’s in stock and the current prices.
Can I consume cannabis in public?
A: That depends on where you live! Check with your local bylaws to see what smoking in public guidelines and bylaws are currently in place.
Can I buy cannabis online?
A: Yes - in the province of Saskatchewan you are able to purchase cannabis online from approved retailers. In British Columbia, we’re pleased to offer our customers the option to Reserve Online, and pick-up and pay in-store.
Should I use cannabis?
A: This is a personal question and something you should decide on your own. It always makes sense to consult a doctor if you are dealing with any medical issues related to your health to ensure cannabis will not negatively affect your body. If you are trying recreational cannabis for the first time, remember that set (your mindset) and setting (the environment where you consume) will have a big impact on your experience. Remember: Start with a low dose of cannabinoids (start low) and increase your dose slowly after you begin to feel the effects (go slow)!
How much cannabis should I consume?
A: Everyone is different, our recommendation is to always start low and go slow. It’s always good to consult one of our Cannabis Consultants with your questions on dosing.
Am I able to grow cannabis legally?
A: Yes - in most Canadian provinces you are legally allowed to grow up to four plants for personal use. Please always refer to your provincial guidelines and regulations for details, as some provinces limit where you can grow in your home or garden.
How do I consume oils?
A: There are a variety of different ways to consume oils, such as placing your dose under your tongue or adding the oil to food or a beverage. Please always start low and go slow, and consult with one of our Cannabis Consultants if you are unsure on dosing.
Is it legal to drive after consuming cannabis?
A: No - you should never consume cannabis and operate any type of motor vehicle as per the Cannabis Act and regulations.
What is a good beginner strain?
A: There are a variety of strains that can be good for a beginner. It more comes down to the experience you are looking to have with the product. Kiaro’s Cannabis Consultants help to make strain recommendations based on your unique experience and what is currently available in store.
Are your cannabis products grown in Canada?
A: Yes - all legal recreational cannabis products are grown by Federally licensed cannabis cultivators on farms and in greenhouses across Canada. If you’d like to learn more about a specific product, and how it's grown and processed, speak with one of our Cannabis Consultants!
